Description
These grotesque creatures are territorial, invasive pack hunters—threats that will multiply rapidly in nature if not kept in check. Multiple stations are scattered about in an area, with one goal alone in mind: to make their territory bigger. Scout parties will burrow and travel underground, one of them acting as a lookout for the others on the visible surface as they start to spread black ichor into the soil and ground around them. Upon seeing potential prey or danger, the lookout will let out a distinct low pitched screech, almost similar to the wailing of a distressed man. This immediately alerts the rest of the Desecrat, which will promptly crawl out of the ground to ambush the adversaries, taking them down swiftly. They will aim for limbs, tearing them off and infecting them with ichor, to which the limbs will mutate, writhing and growing into an infantile version of a new Desecrat. Unfortunately, this is not exclusive to humans, as they will attempt this process on any living thing other than itself. The best course of action when dealing with these monstrous pests is to deal with the lookout first, for the others are heavily reliant on the signal, using their weakness to hatch a plan to swiftly destroy them all, group at a time.
