Jerry Tyson had been fighting since the age of 16. His father, older brother, and mother fell during the Great War doing their duty. The only family he had left had been his younger sister, but he lost track of her soon after the Great War.
Though hostile and foul mouthed, Jerry managed to attain the rank of Corporal in the Royal Guard prior to Kintobor's overthrowing of the Crown. He and others fought valiantly during the rise of Robotnik, but were overcome and one of the first few to be robotized for servitude.
Once he was free, he re-enlisted into the Royal Guard as soon as he could, and naturally joined the Loyalists when General Prowler (Tail's Father) rebelled against the King of Acorn (lookit the Comics plz o3o ). Disgusted that the General's punishment resulted into a simple demotion, he abandoned his post and fled, long before the Iron King launched his attack.
However, he didn't remain still for to long.

Mobiun Assault and Reconnaissance Specialist
Answering the call of someone he simply knows as 'Control', he covertly preforms sabotage, search and destroy and reconnaissance missions under the designation MARS4 against any 'objective' she designates. Though he never physically met Control, communicating to her by voice only, he follows most of her instruction with complete obedience. The orders he has trouble with are the ones dealing with his smoking habit, and the use of 'colorful expressions.'
He has no idea who Control is, what had happened to MARS 1 - 3 or who side she's actually on, but as long as he doesn't have to deal with questions or politics, his happy to comply.
