Background:
Melissa is the second child to Ronald "Ron" Armani, who at the time was the head of the Armani Families. The "Armani Families" is a diverse and well spread underground crime faction in control of various types of circles; they specialize in the selling of firearms, drugs, and counterfeit currency. Her older brother, Antonio Armani, was to take the head of the household fairly soon as her old man was dying from illness, but he managed to see the birth of his baby girl. It didn't take her long to get respect from her family and the other crime lords, as she quickly became a favorite with various crimes. Showing no regard for quality of life or life itself for anyone she murdered, she didn't do it for power or respect but she quickly found that she loved to kill and cause violence.

Eventually her father passed away when she was ten years old, allowing Antonio to take over the family and he even took his little sister under his wing. He made it clear, however, that she would never be the head of the household and he had intentions to own the families for the rest of his life. Well that didn't last long.

Skip to age 16. Melissa's soul crushing desire to be in control of the Armani family and everything that comes with it began to manifest into a physical beast of tremendous power. It was an actual manifestation of her soul and her desires for control. She gave it the name of "Alter Bridge" and in secret she began to train with it. After a couple weeks she had mastered it's abilities and began to work on a plan to assassinate her brother. With this power, he was easy pickings. All she had to do was get close to him and let her newfound "friend" punch a hole straight through his chest and out of his back. That's exactly what she did, amazed at how much physical power Alter Bridge truly had.

Nobody dared challenge Melissa's claim to the throne after that. Her influence grew world wide and now she runs the single biggest criminal operation in the world. The type of operation that has friends in high political places. She can manipulate world governments to suit her needs from the shadows, just the way she likes it. But if anybody ever tried to challenge her, they would not last long. Despite having this awesome power she quickly realized she needed to surround herself with people that she could manipulate or even trust. One such individual was Trevor the Hybrid, an extremely resourceful crime boss in his own right. A deal was struck and he became her second-in-command. He is the closest thing to a friend that she has and a faithful captain of her crime syndicate.
