Description
"So, do we have any volunteers this time around, or do I have to go flying around the whole room over and over again, just to find someone that wants to play?" Waiting less than a full second for a reply, Navi let out a loud sigh. "Fine, that's how I thought it was going to be. How about you then?"Due to Navi's small size, there really wasn't any way for anyone to know who she was talking to. She hadn't moved from her spot to anyone, either, so your guess was as good as the rest of the group. With no one else moving due to confusion, you suddenly rose to your feet and nodded. "Alright, if you insist."
"I didn't." Unwilling to move, Navi simply sighed again. "You're not who I was pointing to at all."
Though she had tried to correct the confusion, it was too late. Not only had you already made your way to the sack, you had chosen a large green bead from within. "Sorry, but you did ask for volunteers, you know."
Having spotted his item from the other side of the room, Revali had made his way over to you before you'd even finished speaking. The moment you realized that he was your partner, you knew you were in for a slightly difficult time. Quickly taking back his item, he fixed it onto one of his thin braids, then turned his attention to you. The turn hadn't even started and Revali already looked displeased about something. "Do you plan to stand there all day?
"Nope. I was just waiting for you to be ready.” Forcing a smile, you grabbed onto your partner and tugged him towards the closet. "Come on!" No matter how hard you tugged, or how much you tried to get him to move faster, Revali didn't speed up. He was taking his sweet time. Once the two of you did finally make it into the closet, you shut the door and pulled him to the floor. “You've got to know that you're moving way too slow. Navi's tired and she probably started timing us before we even got in here.”
Letting out a Prideful sounding snort, Revali crossed his feathered arms over his chest and lifted his beak into the air. “Why would I care about that?”
“Well you're here, for one thing.” Honestly, you felt that you shouldn't need to explain this to him. It was probably just a way for him to waste time until Navi came back. If nothing happened due to you explaining things to him, he could blame everything on you. For this reason, you decided to cut your explanation terribly short. “That means that you must want to play at least a little bit.”
“I wouldn't say that.” With a shake of his head, he dismissed what you'd said. “I could have been forcefully persuaded to play this game. Did you ever think of that?”
“No, I didn't. But whatever you say.” After shrugging at his excuse, you tried to sneakily get closer to him. “I'm not going to argue, we don't have time for that. We don't even have time to be talking right now, yet here we are, talking.” Worried that Navi might end your turn at any second, you inched yourself eve closer to your partner. “That's got to stop.”
Still unaware of how close you'd gotten, Revali continued to be ornery and argumentative. “On the contrary, we have plenty of time.”
Now you knew he was just trying to be difficult. “Right.” Finally close enough to him, you cleared your throat. “Anyway, I think it's high past time we got this game started for real.” Just in case Revali wanted to be difficult about that too, you decided to act before he could refuse. Hands suddenly holding his soft face, you gently placed several short, sweet kisses on the very tip of his beak. When you pulled away from him, his mouth was ajar, as if he wanted to say something, yet he remained silent. The redness that colored his face suggested that he was actually too flustered to string together a full sentence. That didn't keep you from teasing him though. “I had no idea you could blush. How is that even possible?” As you released his face, you started to laugh. “It's pretty adorable.”
Revali's mouth snapped shut and an annoyed look appeared on his face. Before he could say anything however, a dim light filled the closet. Even without looking at the light, you knew that light belonged to Navi. The sound of her high pitched voice echoed through the tight space a second after you noticed the light, proving you right. “Time's up. It's time to leave.”
“With pleasure.” Standing to his feet so quickly he almost knocked you backwards, Revali hurried out of the closet and strutted towards the door.
“He doesn't seem happy.” Now resting on the top of your head, Navi giggled in an almost childish way. “What did you do to him?”
“I didn't do anything to him.” Quietly joining her in laughter, you too stood up and readied to leave the room. “Don't worry about it. He had fun, he's just embarrassed is all.”
