Description        "Would you stop being such a showoff and just fight? There's no reason for you to act so cocky with me." Mid-speech, you drove onto the floor, just barely dodging another one of Sakon's lightning fast attacks. Not wanting to get hit while you were down, you scrambled back to your feet and tried to guess his next move. "This is going to drag on forever if you don't get serious. And to be blunt with you, I don't feel like being here all day. Actually, I don't feel like being here at all."

Sakon snorted. "You sound just like Ukon. You're no fun at all." Throwing another powerful attack your way, he managed to knock you off of your feet and flat onto your back. "Besides, you know that's not how things work. We train for an hour no matter who wins or loses." Smirking down at you wickedly Ukon allowed you a second to stand back up before rushing you again. "This means I can fight however I feel like fighting."

All too aware that he was right, you released an annoyed groan. "Fine, but when you end up losing because your ego's too big to see around, remember that I told you so." Usually, you didn't mind training drills like this, but fighting Sakon was never enjoyable. This was mainly because he spent this time, when you should be honing your skills, to act better than you. He would show off and put little effort into actually fighting you, which in return, made you feel terribly weak. The fact that he kept knocking you down and slamming you into walls wasn't helping either.

Feeling overly confident in his own abilities, Sakon let out an eerie sounding laugh before grabbing you by your wrist and throwing you into the nearest wall. Now more than ever, you were glad that these walls were at least slightly padded. "You were saying?"

"Shut up." Wincing, due to a sharp pain in your shoulder, you found yourself yelling at him. "I was distracted." Now angry, you threw caution to the wind and started fighting without giving your actions any thought. This proved even less effective, resulting in you spending more time on your back than your feet.

Reveling in your failure, Sakon didn't even try to stop himself from laughing. He loved tormenting and criticizing you, and you were making doing just that too easy for him. "Are you even trying?"

"Would you shut up already?" The more Sakon taunted you, the angrier you got. The angrier you were, the worse your fighting got. He must have known this, because his teasing didn't stop. It seemed like his only real goal was to make you mad. If that was the case, he was certainly achieving it.

"I'm getting bored. I think I'll end this early. You don't mind, do you?" Giving you no time to even think about responding, Sakon spun around, kicked you in your ribs and sent you flying. Grinning in a pleased fashion, he slowly stepped over to where you were laying and placed one foot on your chest. You didn't know what he planned to do, but he never got the chance. A loud buzzer went off, signaling that your hour was up. "Time's up." No longer interested in fighting, he moved his foot from your chest and offered you his hand. "You got lucky."

"No I didn't. Don't try to lie to me Sakon. I know you too well." Scoffing at him, you accepted his hand and maneuvered yourself onto your feet. "You planned that all out and you know it."

Sakon smirked, instantly proving your theory correct. "Maybe."

"Tch. Maybe my a-." Suddenly realizing something you should have sooner, you cut your sentence short and stared at him with wide eyes. "Wait a second. Is Ukon still asleep, even after our fight?"

"Yeah." He nodded, confused by your sudden change in attitude. "Why?"

His answer made you want to strangle them both. Sure he'd beaten you, hands down, but your fighting wasn't that bad. Actually, it was a lot better than a lot of people. You simply couldn't keep up with his speed. Had you been fighting Jirobo or Kidomaru, you would have most certainly been the victor. The fact that Ukon hadn't even seen fit to wake up was more than just a little bit insulting. Clenching your fists at your side, you spoke in a low growl. "You were going easy on me this whole time. If you were taking this even a little bit seriously, he would have woken up to help you."

Sakon didn't even try to deny what you'd said. He didn't see the point, so he readily admitted to your accusation. "Yeah, I was going easy on you. I usually do. It's more fun that way and it lasts a lot longer. What's your point?"

"What's my point?" Now, even more aggravated with him, you repeated his words in a shrill tone. "My point is that I can't get any better if you don't give it your all."

Your explanation only made him laugh, and loudly. "Please. You can't beat me even when I'm going easy on you. You really think you have a chance if I'm fighting full force?" Sakon shook his head, still smiling as if amused by you. "If you can't beat me, there's no way you could beat us both. You're flattering yourself."

"I am not flattering myself. I just don't want you to treat me like a weakling. I'm not weak. I can hold my own just fine and you should know that by now." Frustrated, and quite frankly offended by the way he was belittling you, you pressed your fingertips to your temple and tried to rub away a quickly growing headache. "I swear if I didn't have as much self control as I do, I'd wait until you fell asleep and then murder you."

"Fine. Next time we fight, I won't hold back." He shrugged, hoping he'd managed to appease you with his words. "Why would you wait until I'm asleep to kill me though? Why not just do it now?" Before you could answer, Sakon answered his own question. "Oh wait, that's right. You can't catch me when I'm awake. I forgot about that."

Perfectly aware that as long as he was getting a rise out of you, he'd continue his teasing, you forced yourself to calm down. This was easier said than done, but after taking a few calming breaths, you managed. "Exactly. I don't want to have to bother with catching, or fighting you. It may not be as satisfying, but, it's much easier that way."

"That's what I thought." He nodded again. Due to your sudden calmness, he was no longer interested in picking on you. Because of this, Sakon nudged you in your slightly sore side and changed the subject to something more friendly. "Let's go get something to eat. You're probably hungry after getting thrown around like that for an hour."

"Right. I'm just starving." Still aggravated with him, though you refused to show it, you thought about making a terrible pun. Something to do with feeding him a knuckle sandwich. Luckily, you stopped yourself before it slipped. Had you said that, Sakon would have had every reason in the world to laugh at you. Heck, you would have laughed at yourself. "Let's go do that."

Knowing you, and the way you thought, Sakon squinted suspiciously. "You weren't about to say what I think you were, were you?"

As your frustration was replaced with embarrassment, your cheeks began to heat up. You hoped in vain that he would tribute this blush to your sparring and not pick on you about it later. "Maybe."

Shaking his head, Sakon locked his arm with yours and began pulling you out of the training room. "You're pathetic, you know that? Who still makes puns? They're not funny, and no one laughs at them anymore."

"Honestly, I'm not even sure that you'd call that a pun. I think it's more of an idiom." You shrugged, trying to play off your embarrassment. "Even if it is a pun, some people like them. I didn't say it out loud anyway." Already feeling the less than pleasant after effects of your training, you leaned against Sakon a bit more for support. You knew he'd noticed this, because a prideful smile was slowly spreading across his pale face. "I stopped myself. That's got to count for something."

"I don't think so." Frowning, but in a way that was more disappointed than it was sad, he shook his head. "You still thought about saying it. That's just as bad."

Too tired to fight, physically or verbally, with him any longer, you hung your head and sighed. "Fine. Whatever you say." With your head still hung low, you grumbled under your breath. "I just can't ever win with you, can I?"

"Finally." He exclaimed in an overly zealous, yet equally sarcastic tone. "It's about time you figured that out. I was starting to think you were a lost cause." Teasing you again, but this time in an obviously friendly way, he started to laugh.

Knowing you'd walked right into that one, you chuckled along with him and playfully jabbed him in the ribs. "Seriously Sakon, I'd shut up now if I were you. You can only stay awake for so long and you're digging your own grave."

"I wish you'd both shut up." Ukon spoke up, having been awake for only he knew how long. "Your flirting is starting to make me sick."
