Description       “Okay everyone, everything's ready for the next couple, so we can resume our little game.” Loosely closing his eyes, Abel's lips curled into a gentle, yet oddly mischievous smile. “Now, who should go next?” He glanced around the room several times, then carefully made his way to where you were seated and offered you his hand. “You wouldn't mind terribly going next, would you?”

“Not the slightest bit.” Grinning confidently, you firmly took his hand in his and pulled yourself up. “I was hoping my turn would come sooner, rather than later. I fear I'm not the most patient person here.” Before he had a chance to retrieve the box of items for you, you'd already made your way to where it was waiting and had begun digging around inside. Unable to calm your eagerness even for a single moment, you chose the first object you could get your fingers around. The object was a sort of crest, and while you couldn't be sure who it belonged to, you had a pretty good idea. Turning to face the small group, you held up the crest for Ion to see. “This is yours, correct?”

“Of course it is. Who else could it belong to.” Ion pushed himself out of his seat and reclaimed his item with a snort. Without saying another word to you, he arrogantly made his way into the small closet and dropped down to the floor.”

Knowing your turn was going to be an interesting one, Abel walked you to the doorway and gave your shoulder a gentle pat. “Try to have a bit of fun, okay?” Smiling weakly, he shut the door and started your time.

Abel might have been worried about your ability to have fun, but you were absolutely positive you could make this time interesting and memorable. Ion's rude, snooty attitude wasn't going to stop you. Sitting down across from him, you feigned a bright, friendly smile. “Well now, it looks like I'm rather lucky, aren't I? I never expected my partner to be someone so very important and well known. I'm surprised someone like you would even waste your time playing something so trivial. You have to have better things to do.”

“What I do with my time is none of your business.” With his nose in the air, he crossed his arms over his chest and scoffed.

“True, it's not.” You shrugged, undeterred by his snobby way of speaking to you. “I was only trying to make conversation with you, since you don't seem very proficient when it comes to holding or starting them. We only have seven minutes as I'm sure you know, and I didn't feel like waiting on you to do something.”

Your lack of respect took Ion by such a surprise his jaw actually dropped. Aggravated by you, the tone of his voice changed, now much higher than before. “W-what did you just say to me?”

“Just that your people skills could use a bit of practice, nothing more.” You shrugged as if your words meant nothing. “I haven't offended you, have I?”

“How dare you?” Ion angrily stood to his feet and clenched his fists at his sides. He tried to open the heavy wooden door, but it was locked from the outside. With his face red both from anger and embarrassment, he turned to face you again. “You're upsetting me on purpose.”

“It's true, I am. Before you ask why, I'll explain.” You pushed yourself from the ground and stood in front of him. “I knew you wouldn't participate as you were expected to anyway. Instead of asking for another partner, I decided to have fun with you the only way I knew how.”

The more you spoke, the more angry Ion became. “Upsetting me is fun for you? What's wrong with you?”

“I'll be honest, it's not as fun as I had hoped, but It'll do. Though really I would have preferred a kiss. Unfortunately, I doubt someone like you would have willingly allowed that.” Brushing your hair away from your face, you let out a loud sigh. “If you hadn't been so rude to me from the start, I might have tried that first. It's too late now, though.”

Hardly able to handle your words any longer, his brow twitched. “Are you suggesting that your insubordination is my fault?”

“Oh no, I would never accuse you of that.” With obvious sarcasm lacing your voice, you firmly shook your head. “I'm only saying that I lack the ability to be kind to those that are unkind to me.” Trying hard not to let your serious expression crack, you dropped your head slightly and offered him an odd sort of apology, which you of course didn't mean a word of. “I suppose I really should work on that, shouldn't I? Hopefully the next time we meet, I will have matured enough to make our time together more pleasant.”

Your sharp tongue left him at a total loss for words, but it also made him think about his own attitude. The moment he heard the door unlock, he swung it open and stomped off towards Radu. Sure that your turn had been a complete failure, Abel frowned.  “I take it that you didn't have very much fun in there.”

You stepped out of the closet and victoriously grinned up at Abel. “On the contrary, I enjoyed myself quite a lot.”
