4kids does suck. They ruined sonic X!well, really only the ending episode where cosmo dies, but still, that was meant to be a touching moment in the series....... Then 4kids raped the episode of all the "i love you and ill miss you" scenes. The same as using your bare hands to rip the balls off a man, it hurt EVERYONE, including fans.

Well I understand the censoring the swear words. If they talked like at the top they wouldn't have all those loyal, loving 7 years olds playing and watching the show.
But some of it was like over the top.
Pokemon was one of my first obsessions and when I was little I remember watching an episode where Brock pulls out some onigiri (rice balls) and he calls them "donuts".
Of course me being the itty-bitty little American girl I was, I have no clue what an onigiri was, so I just rolled with it. But later on when I bacame a manga/anime fanatic, I realized how stupid that dub had been.

On lots of anine not only do they change the words and cut out certain scenes, they also made black characters White. i saw it happen while someone was talking about it, and showed examples
