I understand that feeling and I respect your artistic integtity, but SHIT LIKE THIS, youtu.be/YR-fcxFjNP4 , is what gets sucessful on Youtube. It is far from being a website of quality, because it's no longer built to support creators with high quality videos, including animators like us, now it's make vlogs/letsplays or leave. That's why we need to compensate, and trust me when I say people love storyboard animations. Just look at letsplay animations and popular video game quick shorts. Not to mention these portray enough visual humor to be considered presentable.

Perhaps, but I think shit like that is shit, I'd rather upload what I find worthy, not what others find worthy. Sketches are fine here, but not on Youtube.
It's a shame that hard work does not pay off, as the system depends too much on you dumping videos every minute and raking in views. It's logical that nobody can create complicated content fast enough to earn a living from it. You're forced to be cheap.
Youtube should offer different types of contracts; one animators can benefit from. The overused craze of gaming and react channels need to die, they are a special type of lazy, especially when the user has nothing good to say about the content that isn't theirs.

Well I mean, to be fair official LetsPlay animations are now in a better light now that they're usually funded by the LetsPlayers themselves. Besides that, yeah, reaction, prank, vlogs, all being favored over animation can really get to a guy. That's why we're better off finding an actual job if we favor quality that much.
Guess I overreacted since I don't see many artists like you nowadays. Youtube's turned us all lazy.

But these animations are part of a channel that's still 99% gaming videos, and while these animations are loved, they don't rake in the dough.

It was bound to happen. But I never earned my living from Youtube, nor have I ever been big, so not much changed for me.

Whoever did that didn't use the same technique I used. It was impossible for me to get a successful result, which caused this animation to be funnier than I originally wanted it to be.
