Scotty's a busy man, he has one of his red shirt flunkies manning the controls... off camera.

You should have reversed the animation to make it look like he was beaming back, that way it would loop instead of just start over. Also, Scotty should be behind the console not standing next to the transport pad, someone has to be manning the controls.
