Another shot of my Ruby cosplay. Definitely need to make some adjustments to the costume for next time, but considering I made this all in 2 half-days, I'm happy with how it turned out. Really excited to make the Crescent Rose, too
Myself as Ruby Rose from RWBY
Costume made by me (petticoat, boats and cincher were purchased. I added on the red detailing and belts to the boots and the red lace to the cincher)

You're welcome! And yeah, it's pretty cool. From what I've seen so far, it's kind of cheesy, but in a good way.Β Sort of awkward-characters-cheesy rather than thinks-it's-cooler-than-it-really-is-cheesy, so it works really well. So I definitely like it!

I'd like to ask you though, where did you get your wig, if it is in fact a wig? Or did you perhaps make it yourself? See, I was looking to cosplay Ruby myself, but I can't seem to find a wig that I quite like.

The wig is actually one that I had laying around from an older cosplay. I added in the red myself with some paint. I'm probably going to get a different base, but I only had two days to get the costume together and had to work with what I had.Β

I got the petticoat and cincher at two different local stores. You can probably find similar items at costume stores if you have any local to you. It's a good time to look since a lot of Halloween stores have popped up.Β
