BTW, I made this "fractal" in photoshop. I did use mathematical "things" to get there 
This wasn't made with fractal software. It was made with vector shapes in photoshop, using the Transform and Repeat method. I used a 90% reduction on each repeat and rotated it around the chosen axis using ctrl alt shift T. A similar method is used for spirographs
