Description For Chernobyl-Curs.

If you think you'll have trouble drawing him in the tornament, go here: [link]
*His double heads do not give him an advantage, but a weakness to to his skull being misshapen*

Name: Molotov

Breed Base: Ibizan hound [link] and a weimaraner ([link] )
Age: 3

Gender: Male

Abilities: Because of his breed he can jump from a stand-still and if the braches are close enough, he can climb trees. He also brings a new meaning to the term wire-haired as the fur around his shoulders and neck are actually wire-like and sharp. Not really damaging, but uncomfortable for an opponent to bite down on. Though the head on his right (one with dark, long bangs) can't bite, see, or hear out of the middle ear, it can still think and sees what the left head sees.

Strengths:
His main defense is to use this to hide and escape, also to plan traps.
Because of his deformed skull, his jaw strengh isn't really powerful, so biting is a last resort.
The power behind his run is powerful enough to knock someone over.

Weaknesses:
He can somtimes get into a panic attack at the sight of his own blood.
Also because of his deformed skull, he tends to get major headaches and can go momentarilly blind.
He has a severve problem with his ears ringing, they are very sensitive. His right head cannot freely move, bite, or barley even open it's mouth.

Personality: Overly cocky and a show-off, he doesn't want to show fear, he wants to prove to be brave, and to be as good as another dog, ever with his deformities.

History: Born with polycephaly ( [link] ) he was expected to die within the hour, but somehow managed to survive. Though his body was weak, he pulled through with a determination unlike any before him. He knows though, that because of his deformities, he will die young, and so instead of letting another dog be forced into the tournament, he voulenteers himself to save anothers life with his own, possibly dying body. The right head cannot control the body, but simply weakly communicate to the main one, giving him ideas for the traps.

Likes: Trees, mud, snow, and rocky areas. It helps him in battle.

Dislikes: Sand, open areas, his own blood. It makes it hard to use his abilities.

Other: The red string around his neck was found by him when he was a puppy, after hours he managed to get it around his neck and wore it eversence.

-----
Name: Vully
Age: 2
Personality: More conserned with Molotov winning, he encourages him to never give up, and not to pity the losers, to show the others up, though Molotov agrees with him to his face, he dissagrees in his mind(s). He's cocky and a bit self-centered himself.
Speicies:Myotis dasycneme
(native to Chernobyl, I ment to put that earlier)
History: He met Molovtov from when he lived in the attack of the same abandoned building as him. Most other bats annoyed him, but Vully liked him because he had a brother who died at birth from the same deformitiy.

*Reason for him in GotG: Because Molotov was brought back from the dead with him, thier lives are intertwined. If Molotov dies, so will Vully. If Vully dies, Molotov will become weak and depressed.

Also while I understand they don't compete for food or anything like that, with two separate minds(or I think that's what you're implying) does the passive head have a different personality? Are they both cocky? Does the passive head often disagree with the dominant head on moral decisions?

The right head has another personality and mind, and doesn't speak really often, but when he does the left head listens carfully. The right head doesn't have to think about much, as that's up to the left, so he is more of a planner, nor does he really care about what the other head does, because he doesn't fear death. The left makes most major decisions, while the right pitched ideas.

Oooh alright. Like someone there to ask for a second opinion on something, give new ideas, etc.
So if I got this straight, the dominant head will come up with ideas, and the passive head(with darker hair) will elaborate and form more complex plans, and give suggestions. The dominant is in charge at the end, as he controls the body, so makes the final decision on things.

Something else I wanted to ask. How tall is he (at the shoulder is fine) you think? How much does he weigh? It's ok if it's a vague estimate, I just need a general idea.
I looked into the breeds Molotov is, but I'm still unsure what to label him.

Around 26-27 inches at the shoulders. 40-45 pounds (underweight because of the famine) :3

Thanks!

One other question I remembered, how large is Vully? When I looked into the species of bat he is, they're very small(like the size of someone's finger), but how you draw him he's a decent size....
Is he just somewhat large for his species?

I saw on a comment by ~Kevari you explained a bit more about the two heads. However I want to know can the passive(right) head vocally communicate at all? Could he speak aloud for others to hear, or can he only share thoughts with the dominant(left) head?

VantaRay In reply to Mongrelistic [2011-09-15 22:51:28 +0000 UTC]

The darker haired head is pretty much paralyzed. He can only talk telepathacly-like to the other head, and even if he physically could talk he probably wouldn't, hope that helps.

This guy is awesome :U I have been fascinated with the concept of animals (and people for that matter) with parasitic twins, so seeing this fellow in the tournament just makes me spontaneously giddy

Well that's definitely original, however is there any way you can make a simplified version for the coat colors? Right now it's just random smudges of colors

Kevari In reply to ??? [2011-07-14 01:06:15 +0000 UTC]

So, I'm confused. Does 2 heads mean 2 personalities? Do the heads argue or fight over food? 2 seperate brains, esophagi, trachea?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VantaRay In reply to Kevari [2011-07-14 01:13:54 +0000 UTC]

The head with it's eyes covered has no control what so ever of the body. It/he can barely crinkle his nose or open his mouth. The other head has a telephethy-like communication with him. They don't fight over food because only one can open it's mouth, and the other knows it's going into the same stomach. One is dominate over the other, the one with it's eyes covered is only good at haiving ideas, but it's all up to the other to carry them out.

...A parasitic twin. Well that's different.

You might mention exactly what his condition is under "history" so that people who aren't familiar with it don't think this is an entirely off the wall character. (It's called polycephaly.)

This is kind of a 180 in the opposite direction. Instead of being overpowered now Molotov is critically underpowered. While there's nothing wrong with an underpowered character, he has so many weaknesses and almost no strengths that your opponents would have a hard time finding any way to make a fight against him seem like it was a challenge. You might remove two of the lesser weaknesses, such as his ear problems (which give him headaches he already gets because of his skull deformities and are rather redundant) and his low tolerance for pain (if he is in constant pain because of his condition he wouldn't have a low tolerance for it).

We'll also need some bio info about his partner. Not a lot, and you can leave out the abilities/strengths/weaknesses, but there needs to be something so your opponents know how to portray him.

Finally, we're a bit confused as to how separate the two brains are. You mention that the head on the right is effectively dead except for the brain functioning, so could it potentially fight the primary head for control of the body? And can the two communicate with each other, since it would seem the right head couldn't speak on his own? If they are two separate individuals then they would have two distinct personalities, wouldn't they? Or are they basically the same person, just with two brains?

I'd say it's good now, we just need a little more information about Vully. Age, species, gender, and maybe a brief history to explain why he's with Molotov in the first place.

Oh, XD That would explain in taking a while, I was wondering if the plate on his neck being weak and breaking the frist round would be okay, It fits in the story (he thinks he can win with it, so he voulenteers, but it breaks and he has to depend on his skills (which I'm still editing) XD

Shinkoryu14 In reply to VantaRay [2011-07-12 16:15:37 +0000 UTC]

I'm afraid not. There would be no way for the other dogs to realize this, and no dog with any common sense is going to try to bite metal.

Besides, as I stated in the note, these are normal canines behaving like normal canines, so there's no reason for his father to have had it in the first place. The only armor people make for dogs is joke armor designed to resemble medieval plate mail, or Kevlar vests for police dogs. There's no logistical place he could have gotten it except from a human who for whatever reason predicted his father would need it and had it custom ordered, but there are no humans in Pripyat and no human would do that anyway. So aside from the obvious issues of fairness to the other competitors, it just doesn't make any sense for him to have it.

Also, you have to take into consideration how big it is and where it's located. There's a reason horse armor is in separate pieces and on the back, not the bottom, of the neck. He wouldn't be able to bend his head very far without it chafing and cutting him, it would be excruciatingly painful to try to fight with.

On the whole it just isn't practical.
