These are some of the Sketches I did for my Visual Development project "Monuments" in 2020. Wanted to upload them for a long time, and finally got myself to do it. Enjoy!. I wanted to combine a graphical and an illustrative style to symbolize the change the main protagonist goes through in the way he sees the world.

These are some of the earlier ones with locations I didn't visit later, but they were important to the mood. I like the look on them, I may visit these ideas another time.

A visual development for an 2-D animated short film. The Focus lies on the stylization of nature and the places, which the protagonist comes across. His fantasies and impressions, his change from the factual view of an explorer to and inebriated mindset of exploration.
