I was recently feeling inspired by League of Legends splash art, watching artists like Bo Chen do amazing work. I was particularly intrigued by how Riot artists render metal so I decided to try it myself. And considering I'm not a professional artist with years of industry experience, I'm really satisfied with the result.
Definitely want to continue exploring this idea more and maybe develop my own splash art.
