I see what you did here... Corrupting Paper is even worse than killing her. Dying while defending Ponyville, or even Celestia herself, would be a good end for a brave guard. Celestia would suffer, of course, but Paper will be reincarnated again and Celestia has all eternity to wait. But corruption, if can´t removed, would force Celestia to banish her, and that would hurt her more than anything. The feeling of being betrayed by her fiancee just a few days before their weeding even if it is not Paper´s fault (mostly), and the guilt of being unable to do anything even after all the sacrifices she made to win her heart... Too much to bear T_T
