The "Crazy Future" timeline mentions it is in the future of the "To Love God/Mortal" universe. In that one it mentions a Nightmare was Banished to the moon. I can only think of two possibilities.
1. Celestia must make the harsh decision to banish her possessed lover like she did her sister.
2. Moony takes the Darkness into herself and makes the sacrifice of being sealed away.
