Description
Special Support Unit- The Special Support Unit respond to Mass Casualty Incidents and other Large Scale Incidents. This unit carries ALS Equipment and Triage Equipment. The EMS SSU supplement the number of manpower during incidents. The EMS SSU Personnel is made up of 30 Strong Paramedics that are highly trained to respond to risky and critical situations/incidents. The EMS SSU Respond thru EMS Plan or Sometimes via Special Call by Incident Commanders.

Tactical Response Unit- The Tactical Response Unit respond to HazMat, CBRNE, and WMD incidents wherein EMS personnel trained to HazMat Technician Level allowing them to provide emergency medical care and decontamination in a hazardous environment. This unit carries Decontamination and Medical Equipment.

Special Service Supervisor Unit- The Special Service Command Supervisor Unit transport EMS Supervisors to incident scenes. This unit carries ALS Equipment and other pre-hosptal care equipment that can prolong civilians life. The EMS Supervisor respond to Multi-Casualty Incidents, Large Fire Incidents, HazMat, CBRNE, and WMD incidents.

Physician Response Unit- The Physician Response Unit is a mobile operating room. This unit aims to prolong and treat critically injured patients. This unit is a joint project of Newport Fire Department-EMS Division with the help of area hospitals located inside Newport City.

Contagious Response Unit- The Conatgious Response Unit responds to possible infectious disease calls. This unit is mostly stationed at Public Mass Transport Terminals.
