I worked non-stop with my Kirby 64 playlist blasting in a constant loop, but I finished Merle’s ref sheet X_X So ready to roll into bed now, but first:
Merle is a character I created way back when I was 14 years old and obsessed with Kirby 64. So that's BEFORE I joined DA, go figure! He’s the only Kirby OC that I plan to keep as the others are just hopeless ‘Kirby with a ribbon, so it’s his girlfriend’ material >>;
I created Merle (who back then was called Merlock :V) as obligatory boyfriend material for Adeleine, who to this day is my favorite Kirby character. As hesitant as I am with shipping OCs with canon characters, this romance is something that I’d like to keep. However, the pacing will be a much slower and more natural process as the two get to know each other, rather than the mushy romance of my fangirl days.
Not much is known about Merle’s past. It is a mystery where he came from as he himself has traveled so much, he forgot most places where he’d been. He also cannot remember how and when he lost his eyesight, but he has since learned to adapt to being blind. While his handicap doesn’t bother him much, Adeleine initially had trouble with it since being blind is one of her biggest fears as an artist and Merle first made her feel uncomfortable. With time, she managed to get over it and they became good friends.
Merle is overall friendly and relaxed, but has moments of clumsiness or being lost with his head in the clouds. He prefers to solve things peacefully and only resorts to violence when absolutely necessary.
And now I roll into bed X___X *rollllllll*
