Related to my fan-fiction "Integration".

In adulthood, Freakazoid (aka Dexter Douglas) and his older brother Duncan Douglas, get along much better than they did as children. Freak and many of his friends have been training Duncan to control his mutant powers as well as learning to cope with being fused to Anubis, the ancient Egyptian god of death/embalming (hence the reason Duncan has developed the ears, markings, white eyes, and claws, etc). In the process of learning to control his powers, Duncan realizes that he and "Dex" (Duncan is the only person who still calls Freakazoid 'Dex' or 'Dexter' aside from his parents) have much more in common than he thought. He's happy that he and his little brother are getting along and enjoying each others' company- he finally has a friend to confide in and relate to. Freak motivates Duncan to improve himself and his overall lifestyle- to pursue a healthy loving relationship with his family and only sibling. Duncan is willing to do anything to prove that he can change for the better because he owes his brother so much more than a simple life-debt for what many people may never have done for him. Freak still had faith in his brother when no one else did and is grateful that Freak believed in him even when Duncan was at his worst. Not only has Freakazoid saved Duncan's life countless times, but he also forgave him for all his past and more recent misdeeds, then helped him achieve full custody of his little girl Morgan, and also insisted that Duncan and Morgan live with him and his family (Erie aka Freakazette and Frankie, their only son) in his spacious home.

I won't go into much more detail except to say that while the brothers still give each other a hard time, teasing, arguing, wrassling, and play-fighting (as brothers often do), they share a strong and unshakable bond. As a crime fighting duo, the two are an unstoppable force of kick-ass.
