Oh, look. Another person who thinks that it's all about the self manipulation of ones self to pictures like this. If you have a problem with a feature, please take it up with who featured it.
I can give you a basic run down on why I chose this, and I will, before you come to any more rash conclusions as to what I am doing with my time, and hands, whilst choosing daily deviations.
1) I like to consider the idea of liking zombies. Most people like zombies. Therefore, my choice was based on zombies. The fact this is a woman wasn't even brought in to consideration.
2) The lighting, the cropping, the focus and the imaginative slipper in the back ground are all very well framed, focused, and captured. I'm pretty sure nobody hurt this woman, I think she's doing the hurting all by herself.
3) I have never, and will never, feature anything that signifies actual inflicted pain or injury on to a woman, or a man, or a child. This does not fall in to any of the above categories. I apologize, considering you want it to so badly.
4) The horror/macabre gallery is something that is an acquired taste. You've no need to be looking if you don't like it - same goes with artistic nude, fetish, conceptual, traditional, etc. You look far more silly commenting like this, no matter how many people agree with you for the thrill of the trolling then you would by clicking X.

Could have said a lot worse. Just because something is featured doesn't mean everyone has to receive it well, also doesn't mean they aren't allowed to express some dissatisfaction.
I'm pretty sure the guy was pointing out that this sort of thing has been featured a lot lately, doesn't mean it isn't good, it is fairly good, but sometimes when the same sort of genre is often featured people want to see something new and fresh.

It's a free country, and everybody is allowed to express their distaste, but:
The artist did not ask for the daily deviation.
The artist does not need to hear it.
There is no reason for them to leave this on the artists work, when they could come and tell ME that I'm 'jacking off while featuring it' instead.
I represent the horror and macabre photography gallery. You say it's been featured a lot? Well. Yep. Every day for the last 4 years constitutes a lot, I suppose. It hasn't been me for the last 4 years, but it's been a variety of community volunteers - and it won't likely go away any time soon. It's a viable gallery, there is art in it, and again, if you don't want to/don't like/don't think you need to see something that the community people choose, there is the option to not click on it and see. And there is especially the option to think about what you're saying before you type it out like they did.
They could have said it worse, but they also could have said it a lot better.

Yup. Just trying to offer another opinion. I actually love macabre, (some of my own work could be considered macabre) but I have seen quite a lot of it lately. Things often go through cyles of popularity, it seems that the flavour of the month is macabre lately. or I'm just mad.
It probably could have been expressed in a different fashion, but his opinion is still notable I guess. I have a similar feeling about some of the fashion photography, I love fashion photography, but I have seen a lot of the same generic style of lighting lately which just seems to be copies of other people's work. It irritates me, but that's just they way things go.
