I love cars and always have, even though I wasn't fortunate enough to learn to repair them from my father (he's a Toxicologist, which is cool in other ways), but I didn't let that stop me from buying high maintenance cars in the past. I've had a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, a Datsun 1978 280Z and 1974 260Z with a V8 LS1 swapped in. That was my last project car. I was working on it one day, when my iPhone 4S (with a cheap batter I'd replaced) blew up on my driver's seat, while I was inside getting something. I came back out to the garage to find flames pouring out of the windows! The extinguisher on the wall was dead, so I threw it through the back window and put the fire out that way, using my hose. I was lucky it didn't take the house too, but the car was a write-off and I didn't get a dime from the company who sold me the faulty battery on Amazon. Source images in this series were edited, masked, etc., in Photopia, then I made videos from them in Resolume Arena, then the videos were used as source images for several ControlNets in Deforum. The animation was cool, but I haven't made it into a looping VJ clip/stock video just yet.
