"16A Valentine’s Day
I hate this holiday. Like a lot. I just hate the pretentious atmosphere of flaunting and being a complete “sucks to be you” flip off to single people everywhere, but I digress. I was afraid of this episode for being all lovey dovey and crap. I have a lot to say to the romance plots it DOES do, whether it does it right or wrong. But I was pleasantly surprised. This episode is not lovey dovey at all, it delves more into friendships than relationships which I think a lot, and A LOT more shows should do more. Way more. Because I am so sick and tired of seeing the same crap from other shows that do Valentine’s Day plots. Patrick in this episode is a joy to watch. Seeing him go insane after thinking his best friend neglecting him on this er… “special” day is hilarious. Well when he acts all spoiled and not turning around was kind of annoying, but the townsfolk agreed and made it actually pretty funny.I can’t believe I am saying this to a Valentine’s Day episode, but it DOES deserve it, so I will say CODE Blue outright. Congrats for breaking the mold Spongebob, but if only your other “romance” plots could be.. respectable."
