Back in the early 2000's I was working night shift and in the mornings I would look after my niece while here folks were at work, and we'd watch a ton of PBS and other educational shows. One of our favorites was Between The Lions, and I LOVED the segments featuring The Great Smartini, that puppet was insane and apparently based on an old form of Japanese puppetry. Figured I'd draw it and show it to my niece who admitted she was terrified of it
