Description
Here is another image from my my Empyre of Doom that showcases the capture of Kree Commander Thy-Ron on Kaller in August of 2016 by two GAD Death Troopers from the 450th Legion. I like to think that the two troopers are taking Thy-Ron back to Earth so he can face either permanent imprisonment or execution like most of the other surviving leaders of the KCS Empire.Recon: Elite Doom Trooper Squad Alpha is sent to the forests of Kaller the day before the invasion to gather important intel on an artifact called the conduit, which was created by a long-dead race of aliens called the Builders that was being hunted down by fanatical remnants of the KCS Empire. Alpha Squad’s first objective was to destroy 5 KCS signal jammers in order to strengthen the conduit’s signal to their systems as they also cleared the area of hostile KCS forces(Skrull Grunts, Chitauri Jackals and Drones, and Kree Elites). The team was then sent to clear out 3 enemy checkpoints to make way for three signal beacons. These beacons provide signal amplification towards the conduit. Alpha Squad also fought off Skrull Shade Turrets, Kree Ghosts, and 2 Kree Fuel Rod Turrets. Alpha Squad was then sent to meet up with a 4-man tech specialist squad to provide cover fire while the tech squad commandeered a Kree Wraith tank for them to use against an Builder-designed power generator protecting the gate. Once Alpha Squad got the Wraith, they destroyed the Builder gate locks while plowing down wave after wave of KCS infantry and vehicles. Upon Arriving at the conduit’s location signal, Alpha Squad was then ordered to use the 3 transmitters at the site to get a lock on the conduit’s signal. However, they also found KCS infantry mauled and shot to death by the site’s automated Builder defense systems, which included Crawlers, Soldiers, Watchers, and Knights, all of whom had their own personal weapons to back them up. Despite this terrifying new enemy, Alpha Squad was able to fend them off and get the objective done, eventually getting to the extraction point via AT-RT walkers with all 5 members of Alpha Squad intact.
Space Ambush: The day after Alpha Squad got the conduit’s location on their recon mission, the 450th began a lethal space ambush above Kaller’s orbit in order to cut down the KCS fleet there, which was composed of 1 CPV-Class Destroyer, 2 CCS-Class Battle Cruisers, and 4 SDV-Class Corvettes while the GAD fleet was made up of 4 Venator-Class Destroyers and 8 Acclamator-Class Assault Ships. The GAD was able to assault the incoming fighters and down the corvettes pretty well before they went on to the two cruisers and the single destroyer in battle. During the battle, a KCS boarding party attacked one of the Venator-Class Destroyers in an to sabotage its reactor, but they only failed due to Captain Maestro and the 450th Legion fending off the invaders with ease.
Final Ground Attack: When the KCS space fleet was taken care of, Captain Maestro began landing his forces in an attempt to recover the conduit for Lord Doom and to destroy the KCS and Builder forces on the planet. His gunship was shot down by Kree Anti-Air Wraith fire, but he and a few other Doom Troopers survived was they activated a portal system to the conduit’s location, a place called the Altar. Along the way, he and his men even encountered KCS infantry using stolen Builder weaponry and attack craft in an attempt to fend off both GAD and builder forces. Maestro and his men then took down 3 KCS Anti-Air Wraiths in an attempt to allow less complicated air traffic for the 450th Legion. After the three AA Wraiths were destroyed, Maestro got himself a TX-130 fighter tank to help reach the Altar much more quickly, destroying Builder and KCS forces alike(Ranging from Kree Wraith tanks to aerial Builder attack craft called the Phaeton). After a short while, he eventually got to the enemy command center within the Altar and killed a Chitauri Commander named Ivora before shutting down and recovering the Conduit, thereby giving the GAD a new planet to conquer. Maestro then had to activate a portal system to escape a brutal onslaught by the Builder drones stationed there, but not before he sent out a timed deactivation code to shut down the Builder forces on Kaller. After bringing the Conduit to the extraction point, Maestro and his men were forced to defend the LAAT gunship carrying the Conduit from being recaptured as the gunship was making repairs. After the gunship took off, Maestro and the men that accompanied him found a KCS Phantom to take off in due to the fact that there weren’t any other dropships near their vicinity.
I do not own the original image btw and forgive me if the officer shown is Grand Admiral Thrawn.
