This is from a joint with . Over the holiday weekend we created a project for us to entertain ourselves with. I really like it so far. Its fantasy with a modern twist, and we kind of morphed and moved things around to where they fit quite nicely with us.But this is one of the main characters that I made, Shui. Its pronounced Shway, but people pronounce it Shoo-ey because you have to admit people are bad at pronouncing names, and people find it more fitting for his random personality anyways. Shui means "water" in chinese.
He's a fisher, gatherer type person, adept to living at the edge of the land and the edge of the ocean. He loves seafood (especially squid) and he travels around a lot with Rivec ( 's) because a boring normal life isn't very much of a life to him. He apparently wears the tackiest colours in the world.
The background is ... kind of special at best. I like what i tried to go for, but its really hard to do it right in photoshop becauase you see the wiggly lines. XO Oh and the name, while it is in spanish, is an ode to the wonderful FFVII. Because that game, as everybody knows, is the total hotness. Cid Highwind was the best.

Boogie woogie feng shui was a great episode. ...In fact, all the episodes were great. My favourite probably is the first one, still. Or the one with all the eggs.
Shui's boxy wrist and ankle bits are very satifsfying. In fact, the whole character/outfit design bit is rilly cool. And I like that he has anchor tatoos without making me think of Popeye even -slightly-. Also GO DYNAMISM. Lookit that spear...harpoon...t'ing bend! Just...yeah. I'm loving the whole rich clour cel-shading thing. I needs to make an avatar.

this is really cool..it has a "Wind Waker" feel to it! Not cel shaded but the same beautiful tones....great job!

Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine were the hottness in that game. I'll love it until the day I die, and then maybe afterwards. And now I have the phrase " boogie woogie feng shui" stuck in my head.

mwahahaha i was always so sad because whenever I went to find Vincent's back story I was expecting a FMV! But I didn't. I got a bunch of polygons instead. While I was happy to figure out his past, I was hoping it would be prettier and a little more rewarding than that. Since it took me a while after all.

yeah, okay, Hojo was ugly. And I remember hating that battle because he would keep changing forms ,and I would be like "I gots ta fight you AGAIN?!" *horrified*

And yes, I wanted an FMV for Vincent's story dammit! They could have made it look so awesome and dramatic and Vince-a-licious! ><; Plus that part was pretty integral to some parts of the game like Sephiroth's mom and such.

I think it's just really hard to find Final Fantasy action figures anywhere. > :F I remember trying to find all the different resin statues of FF8, but alas, I found only Selphie and Seifer. But hey, I could make them have wild, non-con het-sex together. Oh yeah!
(By the way...your signature cracks my world up. Have you seen the Geena Davis movie, "Earth Girls Are Easy"? xD Best. Ever.)

Hahaha, yeah it really is hard to find FF action figurse. I've noticed that the FFVII ones are kind of poorly made, but the Resin figures are absolutely gorgeous. *__* I haven't even looked for Resin statues of FF8. I did find a rather kick ass one of a monster with zell and irving kicking its ass I think. I forgot where I found it, but if I had heaps of money I pobably would've bought it.
Ebay is a good place to look. Its constantly changing, and pretty much the only place where you can find a selection of FF figures. I haven't even SEEN any FFX figures. I see FFIX everywhere though. O_o

I think all of the action figures completely suck, except for the 11 inch resin statues of the FF8 crew. *loves* And man...you should so take a picture of that statue you have of Zell and Irvine kicking some ass. I love them so! <3 Zell could really bust some ass, man. Especially on those last bitches. (Hee, that reminds me...you know Ultamecia's GF at the very end, "Griever" ? After losing to him several times, I finally decided to name him "Bob" and I beat him right off the bat. xD)
Mmm. Ebay. I just got a brand new box of prismacolor markers for $45, whereas they sell for $170 in the store. Go me!
YOU MUST CHECK OUT THAT MOVIE. It is the epitome of all that is wonderful and good from the 1980s. And Jeff Goldblume. Geena Davis. JIM CAREY IS IN IT. He's very young. <3

hahah awesome! WEll the FFVIII are better than the FFVII. The FFVII ones look a little like they weren't sure how much detail they could put in the action figure so they restrained from doing so. hahaha, I wish I had that resin statue! But it was on a website somewhere. I can probably find it or something.

Ultamecia was mad whack. I remember I was so mad when she ran from the first battle. I was very >:0!!! at her, and I wanted to bust some thundaga on her sorry tail. (And I did name him Bob. xD He wasn't so bad after that! *flex*)
YEAH GIRL. Ebay is the bees knees when it comes to getting things cheap. Of course I had to get extra colors, because the 48 pack gives you a very limited selection of fleshy tones. But I suck with them, so it doesn't really matter.

fleshy tones are the HARDEST with markers. I kid you not. You just gotta work with them and work with them, combine like a crazy biatch. Its hard stuff. It just takes practice and lots of patience. XO
