Ok, so I've been looking for a reason to finally get his game, and I think I just found it.

My friend told me Alan Wake was super scary! But he could just be a wimp... well, I guess I'm a wimp too... hmm, maybe I shouldn't get this game XD hahaha

HMMM. I don't think it's very scary. There's some jumps in it, like when the guy popped out of the bathroom stall and I emptied all my bullets into the tile floor (but that also may me because I'm jumpy by nature).
But overall, I think the game itself isn't all that scary? The sense of humor is pretty delightful (I mean when your bad guys are coming at you and saying 'DON'T SHoooOOOOOT ENDANNGerrRREED ANIMALLLSssSS!!' I have a pretty hard time being scared mindless XD), and there's some really dark moments and it is definitely a dark story but I wouldn't worry!
Of course, if you are more interested in the story than the gameplay you can always watch a playthrough on YouTube! It's pretty movielike anyways. :>

God, I love Alan too. I just found out that he was based on an actor (or was it model) who actually exists too. They used him in the PotF music video. I was wondering why they looked so EERILY similar.

YEAH, isn't he Alan Wake's VOICE actor too? In more of the recent 'episodes' they even have the actor wiggling around like a crazy person on all the televisions. I think it's pretty awesome. I could be wrong though.

Nah, his voice actor is Matthew Porretta. The actor is Ilkka Villi, who apparently is Finnish according to Wikipedia. I didn't even know they were releasing DLC until earlier today though. I want to get the new episodes so badly now, because the mental image you just gave me sounds hilarious. I think it's sweet that they actually based him off a real person. Especially if they ever decide to do an actual movie about it or something.

Oh man, I didn't know that! I think Remedy is Finnish though, but I do think that's totally cool. There was those Bright Falls shorts right before the game came out and I believe the actor was Alan in the last couple of minutes?
All speculation though, I really didn't check the credits. Aghh, I kind of wouldn't super mind an Alan Wake movie, despite the game being movie like on its own!
