The page looks gorgeous, but I have a bit of a hard time following what went down. Did he mean to turn bat or did the bad guy somehow make him turn?

My guess is that it's the first time he's become a bat, and probably didn't expect it to happen. So yeah, I think he fell. Especially since if he was hit, there'd be more emphasis on that. Instead we just have Lamont and Worth being "omg he's a bat now!"
