Still would like to know how you do the light and shadow effects of the skin.....looks almost like an automatic feature from Photoshop.....curious!

I cheated a bit on this one. Normally I judge shading by eye, but after trying unsuccessfully off-and-on for several hours, I copied the reference photo to psp and posterized it. I then used that as a rough guide, adding more shading wherever I needed it. It's not exactly the best way to go about it, I know, but I was frustrated.
