I dunno. I think having a happy daughter may prove to be more important to them. Not all parents are like Moondancer's if they were we would not have so many gays running around right now... They don't need to approve 100 percent because that's going to be super rare but if they can see she's happy then really I think they will let her be her...

I'm not saying that they'd disapprove of Twilight dating Sunset. I'm saying they'd disapprove of Twilight leaving for who-knows-how-long with no way for them to check on her, missing school, and possibly dying. (I imagine they aren't aware of the amount of danger Twilight tends to face on regular basis from rogue magic.)

True parents do tend to frown when their kid starts missing school but this is Sci-Twi; She loves studying too much to let anything interfere too much an even if she did they might consider her happiness a tad more important but I doubt they let it get too far... As for dating and/or missing.. Well parents do reserve that right to worry when their kids do that one but they can see their Twilight is a growing girl and balancing freedoms with discipline can be tough act but I doubt it'll be a huge cause of alarm unless they got a really strict timetable for her..
As for facing deadly magical happenings.. Is your world of pure science any safer ??? We got cars, trucks, buses, trains, airplanes, guns, ladders, [[ You'd be surprised how many die falling down from one. ]], housefires, glass, fire, water, bombs [[ Atomic bombs being the most powerful ]],, crime and of course there's the pedos who murder their victims.. Just to name a few of the deadly things we got around everyday and we don't see parents worrying over those when they and their kids to school and/or out into the world to deal with all that. In fact they need HELP if they worry too much about their kids.
Yes I dare say that I'd prefer magic world that would let you also get out the way of danger a lot faster than any old science world would.. Magic force fields alone..

Awww, so nice. It's good to see they were able to work through this maturely and reached a loving understanding. I do wonder how being from Equestria will affect things. Sure, Sunset has no family there and she has no intention of leaving Sci-Twi. But she has the freedom to travel right now between worlds. What if she loses that, how will that affect things? Hopefully things will remain good for them there. All relationships have troubles, even the most pure and loving ones. They probably will have more trials to face in the future. Hopefully things will stay quiet for a while just so they can enjoy this.
