Back in 2007, I posted a visual hair tutorial and I feel horrible about it. I feel bad because it's outdated, pretty ugly and has over 7000 views. I'm deeply sorry.To redeem myself, I created last night a brand new tutorial that shows how to paint semi-realistic hair. To achieve realism, or at least a higher level of completion, you would simply need to add more detail to the hair. This particular hair took me about 15 minutes to do.

Aw, man, if this is 15 minute work... I've got a long way to go. I'd probably struggle and cry for hours to get something akin to this, only to eventually throw my hands in the air and give up.

Don't worry, my first hair didn't take me 15 minutes. Probably 4 to 6 times that amount of time at least. With practice, you'll get better and faster! Try it, and if you fail, try again, and again, and again, until you get it right. Because when you get it right, nothing will ever stop you
