Description
The Radian Senate has a number of Cults within their realms. Most of them are well known, like the Weapon Cults, and others are mostly special schooling divisions, like the Psy-Seers and Star-Seers. Here are the emblems of the various cults and the 2 Schools of Radian Psychic Lores.Katana Masters:
Master of the use of the Katana, a power sword and a common weapon in melee. They have a sub-division that mounts up on Jetbikes, the Kiyomasa Riders, but still fall under the same Katana Cult as a whole. They brutal in melee, making them some of the most revered units in the Senate.
Naginata Masters:
Masters of the famed and lethal polearm of the Senate, the Naginata. They consider themselves more elite than most of the other weapon cults, as they can take on enemies elites with superb skills. The Naginata Masters do have fair deal of respect for the Hime Mistresses and Ona Bushi Order, and it has been know for members of the Naginata Masters to share martial skills in the use of the weapon to the all female order. There is no Jetbike sub-division in the Naginata Masters. It is said there used to be, but has dropped in favour of allowing the ladies getting the honour.
Nodachi Master:
Masters of the heavy great sword, the Nodachi. Highly skilled in their use, but make use of the heavy weapon to go after mechanised opponents, making them bane to Walkers, even the Imperial Walkers would keep their distance from them and not get a limb lopped off. Owing to how heavy and difficult it is to use the Nodachi, it is considered too heavy to wield on a bike.
Yari Masters:
Masters of the commonly used Yari Rifle, a Spear weapon with a rifle built into it. Highly defensive, the Yari Masters on foot master the art of defensive combat, and are one of the few Weapon Cult masters that don't seek personal combat, but work in groups closely for mutual and direct support. However, they do have a sub-division on jet-bikes, the Shizugatake Riders, they use their Yari Rifles aggressively, and are a shock charge strike force. Using their Yari to strike home on the charge and then get out as they don't want to stick around for too long.
Teppo Masters:
Master of various rifles of the Radian Senate, especially the various Teppo Models. Masters of firefights they home their kills to fight in disciplined and well timed killing fields. They have been known to gun down charging opponents with organized volleys. They have no Jet-Bike sub-division, it is stated by the Battleseers of the Teppo Masters, that they don't want to offend the Ashigaru.
Yumi Masters:
Masters of the bizarre but powerful Yumi Rifle. A sniper rifle of the Radian Senate. Expect marksmen who can coordinate with their fellow members to pick off targets at extreme range. They have been known to put down entire units in a single volley. They have no Jet-bike Sub-division, as they too like the Teppo Masters didn't want to offend the Ashigaru who has their own special units using the Yumi.
Fire Riders:
Of all the Weapon Cults in the Senate, the Fire Riders are the most odd. They are relatively young, ever since first meeting and witnessing the Pyros in battle during the 4th Wars, a number of Radians, presumably from the Yari Masters' Jetbike sub-division, decided to incorporate the element of Fire in their art of warfare. The Yari Masters can confirm that they do get some odd people in their ranks with the obsession of flames, and just put them with the Fire Riders, which to them is a completely separate entity and not part of their Cult.
Testudo Masters:
These Radians are considered a sub-branch of the Nodachi Masters, but set themselves in rare but powerful exo-suits. Currently the Testudo and Nodachi Masters are 2 separate cults, but many in the Senate hoped to combine them, however the Battleseers of both cults consider themselves too different from each other to combine. The suit allows the Testudo Masters to wield more firepower and wield heavier melee weapons.
Mortar Masters:
Masters of aiming and lobbing grenades and mines, the Mortar Masters consider themselves more closely linked to the Ashigaru. Should the Ashigaru needs something blown up, these are the guys for the job. So the Mortar Masters are a tall order, but like any weapon cult it takes decades to become proficient in the art of not missing with an explosive shell and wasting ammo.
Star-Seer School:
The School of the Star Seers train up Psykers to perform various tasks. They are mostly utility and support Psykers with divination and buffing being their primary art. They are the least lethal of Psykers from the Senate, and even can use their members to communicate over large distances without being detected by conventual means. They are the most numerous of Psykers in the Senate, as the Star Seer's use is very vast, from healing, mind reading, seeing into the future, inspire, communications and other non-lethal means.
Psi-Seer School:
The School of the Psi-Seer is a military School, to train Psykers to be adept in the art of war. These are true Psychic warriors with a lethal prowess in both powers and personal martial skills.
Tokitaka Masters:
This bizarre unit, is a unit of the weapon Cult that focuses on the art of using heavy infantry weapons to devastate enemy forces with either sheer weight of fire, or obliterate vehicles with precise and crippling hits. They are not very well known and are often at odds with the Ashigaru with their heavy weapon units. So the Tokitaka Masters are solely out to support the other Weapon Cults should they run into something they can't handle.
