The Shield units of the Galactic Reclusiam, are a heavy weapons unit. Troops that carry heavy weapons and cannons to battle, to provide heavy support for the rest of the infantry, and some are deployed as dedicated tank destroyers. They are mysterious for the most part, as they are not of any of the primary species within the Reclusiam. Many within the allied Command, presumed these to be selected species or androids. But more often or not, the Reclusiam always manages to recover these troops should they fall in battle. Only the Radian Senate's own special forces, manages to get a vague idea on what they are.
