Description
To the creeper that attacked meAt the village by the plains,
I hope you understand
When you ignited your powder,
I drew my sword & tried to say
"Stop! Don't do this, man!"
But you exploded anyway,
Taking your life & nearly taking mine too,
I don't understand, what did I do?
Just a proud Minecraft son
With an old Diamond Sword
But I'm not a mob slayer anymore,
'Cause from my point of view,
I'm just a simple man,
Making my way in a not-so-simple land,
Trying to understand what it's like
To be like you,
I'm proud of where I'm from
But not everything we've done,
And it seems there's still bad blood between me & you
Our generation
Didn't start this small world,
But we're still picking up the pieces,
Walking on eggshells,
Fighting over yesterday
Caught somewhere between a brand new start
And bitter hearts
Started some Reconstruction,
Fixed the buildings, dried some tears,
But we're still sifting through the rubble
After nearly 2 whole years
I try to put myself in your shoes
And that's a good place to begin,
But it ain't like I can walk a mile
In another creature's skin
'Cause I'm a simple man,
Making my way in a not-so-simple land,
Just like you, I'm more than what you see
I'm proud of where I'm from,
But not everything we've done,
But it ain't like you & me can rewrite history,
Our generation
Didn't start this small world,
But we're still paying for the mistakes
That a bunch of folks made long before we came,
And caught somewhere between a brand new start
And bitter hearts.
(Dear Mr. Simple Man,
I wish you understood
What the world is really like
When you've never been understood
Just because my sword is drawn doesn't mean I'm up to no good,
You should try to get to know me-I really wish you would
Now my sword is gold,
But I'm still misunderstood,
I wasn't there when Herobrine's march turned
The Nether into firewood,
I want you to mine,
But I'm not sure why I should,
When all those materials that you be mining
Are just used for no good
So when I see that blue-green sword,
I figure it's not all good
I guess we're both guilty of judging the cover, not the book
I'd love to work as a pair,
Conversate & clear the air,
But I see that Diamond Sword & think you wish I wasn't here!)
Oh, I'm just a simple man, (If you don't judge my nonviolent ways)
Making my way in a not-so-simple land, (I won't judge your former ways)
Trying to understand (Yeah)
What it's like to be like you,
I'm proud of where I'm from, (If you don't judge my Golden Sword)
But not everything we've done, (I'll forget the Diamond Sword)
And it seems there's still bad blood between me & you (Still bad blood, baby)
Oh, cold, harsh land, (The relationships between the mobs & Stevie need some fixing)
I hope you understand
What this is
All about, (Quite frankly, I'm a mob, baby, but I been thinking about this lately)
And though there are still doubts (The past is the past, you feel me?)
I just wanna make things right (Let bygones be bygones)
So all that's left is Minecraft pride.
(Yeah...
R.I.P, those who came before me,
But I gotta thank Stevie for saving me,
Know what I mean?
Yeah...Yeah...
It's truth.)
