Description
As Galen walked towards the bridge of the Salvation, Juno at his side, he smiled as Ahsoka stepped out of an adjoining hallway & fell in beside them. It was comforting to him that there were other Jedi still alive out there. If they could rescue all of them, recruit all of them...Then the Rebellion's hopeless situation wouldn't look so hopeless. Stepping onto the bridge, Galen looked around for Kota & spotted him hunched over a star chart along with PROXY and several Rebel soldiers.

"Master!" he called. "This is our newest recruit, Ahsoka Tano." Looking up, Kota's sightless eyes lit up as the young Togruta embraced him warmly. "It's good to see you again, Ahsoka", he said softly, "I'd heard rumors, but I didn't believe them until now..." "I know. It's good to see you too, Rahm", she replied, "And I look forward to helping the cause of the Rebellion to the best of my abilities."

Suddenly, a powerful shockwave rocked the Salvation, knocking everyone off their feet. As Galen pulled himself up, an announcement wailed over the loudspeakers: "All available units to Docking Bay 4! We're being boarded!" Drawing his lightsabers, he asked, "Is it the Empire?" "Maybe", Kota growled, igniting his saber, "We'll just have to wait & see. Now let's go give our visitors a warm Rebellion welcome."

As Galen rushed into the docking bay with the others, a horrible scene of destruction & chaos greeted them. Instead of seeing white-clad stormtroopers, he was surprised to see at least 20 Weequay, bandoliers of ammo stretched across their chests & stun guns in their hands. "Pirates..." Ahsoka spat. "They're not here to attack us", Juno said, "They're here to capture and enslave." "AAAHH!!!" a scream came from nearby. A soldier toppled to the ground, his shirt & vest sizzling from the electric pulse. As the shooter approached his target, Galen hurled one of his lightsabers, which buried deep into the pirate's head & filled the air with the smell of burning flesh. Retrieving his weapon as the assailant fell, he waved over another soldier, shouting, "Get this man to safety!"

Looking around as the soldier heaved his comrade to shelter, Galen spotted the rest of his team with several soldiers crouched behind a large piece of durasteel. With every shot from the pirates, the metal slab sparked & cracked as a powerful jolt of electricity coursed through the makeshift wall. Several soldiers lay unconcious around them, steam rising from their sizzling clothing. Charging at the pirates full speed, Galen backflipped & threw his lightsabers, seperating 5 heads from 5 bodies. As the attackers fell, more moved up to take their place & advanced on the young Jedi. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a fuel tank whistle through the air as its gaseous contents were released. Gripping the canister with the Force, Galen leapt into the air & sent the metal container rocketing at the pirates like a missile. "Juno!" he shouted. "Shoot the barrel!" Popping out from behind her cover, Juno lined up the container & obliterated it, along with several pirates, with 4 well-placed shots.

"Nice work!" he called, hitting the metal floor of the docking bay & transitioning into a perfect roll, barreling his way out of the crowd. Jumping behind the metal slab as several stun shots flew past, Galen deactivated his lightsabers & allowed his muscles to relax & give himself a minute to catch his breath. "No rest for the weary, hotshot", Ahsoka shouted as she ran up to him, "We've got a battle to win." Nodding, he hopped to his feet & ignited his lightsabers. Charging after Ahsoka, he heard a piercing female scream ring out. Juno! he thought. "Galen! Where are you going?!" Ahsoka shouted as he ran in the direction of the cry. Ducking behind a crate, Galen found Juno unconcious, a smoldering ring of black in her shirt. "She's still breathing", Kota said as he rushed up, "She just took a stun shot." "Get her on board the Shadow!" Galen shouted. "I'll find Ahsoka & be right behind you!" Nodding, Kota scooped up Juno in his arms & ran as fast as he ever had towards the Shadow. As the engines started up, Galen sprinted in the direction he had seen Ahsoka run, looking left & right for the Togruta Jedi. Suddenly, a different sound that was all-too-familiar rang out. Turning around, his stomach sank with horror as he watched the pirates whip out blaster pistols & fire at the engines of the Shadow. "The deflector shields can't hold out much longer, boy!" Kota's voice rang out over the comlink. "Do something to distract those pirates!"

Charging at the crowd, Galen thrust his sabers into the chests of the first two pirates & hurled them into the air. Slashing & spinning, jumping & ducking, weaving & flipping, Galen slowly moved toward the center of the pirate horde, making himself the biggest target possible. As he slashed & chopped all around him, Galen saw two green lightsabers burst out of the chests of two pirates & fly up into the hands of Ahsoka as she backflipped into the center of the ring, landing behind him. "You didn't think I'd let you do something as perilously stupid as this without some backup, did you?" she asked. Smiling, he said, "Let's do this, Ahsoka."

Perfectly coordinating his attacks with Ahsoka's & covering her back, Galen slowly moved closer & closer to the Shadow as more pirates scrambled to form a thicker wall around the 2 Jedi & box them in. Suddenly, he felt utterly drained as tiredness set in slowly & his adrenaline rush wore off. As his movements became sluggish & his strokes sloppy, he saw a pirate lining him up in the stun gun's line of sight. Leaping to dodge it, Galen knew he wouldn't be able to as the pulse slammed into his leg & sent a powerful electric current throughout his entire body. As he slumped to the ground, he felt Ahsoka fall on top of him as the shooter walked up & slapped handcuffs on his wrists. "Well, well, well", he laughed wickedly, "Talk about killing 2 birds with one stone. The boss'll be pleased." Galen struggled to keep his eyes open, to fight the darkness creeping into the corners of his vision, but failed as the Rogue Shadow taking off was the last thing he saw before it consumed him.
