If we all disappeared tomorrow,
would the world be a better place?
Would Earth's issues all simply disappear
with the vile race that created them?

Would driverless cars & roads
sit still & lifeless, abandoned?
Would cities once bustling with life
sit like shadowy specters on the horizon,
the buildings telling the stories of those who occupied them long ago?

Would every species hunted to near-extinction
replenish themselves
because those that once needed what they had are gone?
Would the ozone layer, the forests, nature itself
heal the wounds of the past because those who caused them have vanished?

Would the world be a better place
if the human race were no more?
I don't know.
