Description "Ahsoka! Breakfast is ready!" Yawning & rubbing her eyes, Ahsoka sat up slowly, the wooden bedframe creaking under her weight. Slipping out of her nightwear as she stepped into the bathroom, she turned on the faucet & splashed some cool water on her face. As she pulled on a loose tunic & robe & shut off the water, Rex called again from downstairs, "Ahsoka, come eat before your food gets cold." "Coming!" she called back. Grabbing her lightsabers & stuffing them into the robe's pocket, Ahsoka walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs into a quaint, homely kitchen. A delicious smell filled her nostrils & directed directed her gaze towards an old wooden table where 4 plates overflowing with toasted bread, bacon, and eggs sat.

"This must be a personal best," she said, sitting down in front of one of the plates, "I swear you're trying to make me & the kids fat with all this home cooking." "Now why in the world would I do that?" Rex asked, grinning, as he kissed Ahsoka on the cheek. "Surely you knew by now that I'm far too nice to even think of such things." "You'd think so." she replied, taking a bite of the bacon. "Mmm...I don't know how you do it, but this gets better every time you make it," she said, "I'm squeezing that recipe out of you someday." Chuckling, he replied, "Oh, I'm taking it to my grave."

As Ahsoka took another bite, a creak & the sound of footsteps came from upstairs. "Sounds like the kids are up." Rex commented, sticking his fork into an egg. Turning to the stairwell, she smiled as her son Anakin, a 7-year old Togruta boy, stumbled clumsily down the steps with his 3-year old human sister, Bultar, in tow. As the kids sat down at the table & dug in, Ahsoka said, "I'm going into town today to grab a few things. Rex, you need anything?" "We're running low on feed & fertilizer," he said, "It'd be a big help if you could pick some up." "Can I come too?" Anakin asked. "I want to see Grandpa!"

2 hours later, Ahsoka walked through a busy street in a small Dantooine town, Anakin's hand, tiny by comparison, wrapped in hers. "Morning, Streena." a man said as he walked past. Almost involuntarily, she flinched. She had stopped using her real name 4 years ago & assumed the identity Streena Rialo for safety purposes, but still flinched whenever someone called her by that name. Stepping into a small, old store, she smiled as a scarred, elderly Kel Dor behind the counter spotted them & hobbled over to greet them.

"Grandpa!" Anakin said excitedly, tightly hugging the old man. "Ha ha, if it isn't my favorite grandson!" he exclaimed heartily. "Tell you what...I've got something in the store room I think you'd like. Why don't you head on back? I'll join you in a few minutes, I need to talk with your mom." As the boy darted off through a door near the back of the shop, Plo Koon turned to Ahsoka & said, "He gets bigger every time I see him. He'll make a fine Jedi someday, him & his sister both." Sighing, she said, "We've been over this, Master Plo. I think it's too dangerous to train my children as Jedi, especially in this day & age."

"For sure it's dangerous," he argued back, "But when the Empire finally falls & the Emperor & Vader are dead, the galaxy will be depending on the next generation of Jedi to restore order & peace & right all the wrongs caused by the Imperials. Anakin & Bultar will do fine. They're your children, after all, Little 'Soka." "I know," Ahsoka said, biting her lip, "That's what worries me."

Suddenly, she became aware of an incredibly strong Force signature radiating from the storage room. "I sense it too." Plo said as they exchanged a glance. Moving with more swiftness & sureness than he had in years, he vaulted over the counter & retrieved a hidden lightsaber as Ahsoka drew her weapons & ignited them in a blaze of green light. Charging through the door, they gasped simultaneously as the combined glow of their sabers cast a turquoise light onto a hooded figure kneeling next to a wide-eyed Anakin.

I'm going to go out & say right now that I was working with the theory that Plo Koon had survived the crash on Cato Neimoidia. It is possible, for you see an object that looks like an ejector seat shoot out of the fighter just before it crashes.
