Taking advantage of a newly found energy source, the weapons performance was a success, but it was never put into full production because of a number of issues.
The weapon itself is heavy and cumbersome, and so only performed up to standard when deployed as a defensive weapon from a fixed position, and while it was easily capable of punching through enemy armour, it was rarely used by forces adequately. The other issue was unit production costs. the weapons Emmorite power cores were expensive to produce, and other anti material options where allready well in place and well used within battlefields.
