Description
Neither Legends nor Canon have a full view of the Tector-class other than the belly flyby in ROTJ, so I modified my spacebucket ISD-II with my interpretation of what the full ship could look like.
- Bridge tower lowered and buried in superstructure to reduce profile. I love the similar proportions to the Resurgent, which was totally unintentional.
- ISD-I point-defense turrets returned and an additional fifth turret added to the sides which I see as a heavy ion turret.
- VIP hangar retained despite not appearing at all in ROTJ (just say there was a blast shield covering it). I think every Star Destroyer design should possess at least minimal hangar space for transports, a flaw the Tector shares with the Legends Allegiance-class.
Update 1/20: Recreated with my improved ISD. Only real change to the layout being the turrets staggered to allow all 10 batteries to fire directly forwards.
Update 12/22: Changed the superstructure to the ISD-I design, considering the Tector is a late Clone Wars era design. This early model features ten ISD-I style turbolaser turrets, which were later replaced with the ISD-II style octuple turrets in a later refit. I picture the Tector falling out of use with the early Empire due to the lack of a peer adversary, and as such no new Tector-II designs are built with all being refits of existing ships.

Love that you stagnated the Tector's main guns, makes the design much more practical! Though are those octuples I see?

My idea for the Tector was basically an ISD with some of those big bombardment guns we see on FO ships worked into its hull as a siege engine, but I really quite like this-- the same kind of omni-brawler formula that birthed the Allegiance class is at work, plus the subdued paint scheme gives it even more menace. Top-shelf.
