A Kangaroo Mouse living in the Australian Outback who serves as Bernard and Bianca's guide during their mission to rescue Cody. Very skilled and knowledgeable in the ways of the outback, Jake handles any situation he comes across with ease, and is able to tame the more dangerous wild animals. He also attempts to flirt with Bianca, much to the annoyance of Bernard (who is attempting to ask her hand in marriage), and doesn't really believe in the skill of the latter. Ultimately his assistance proves invaluable in their rescue mission, and when Bernard defeats McLeach and courts Bianca, he earns Jake's respect.
