A young salvager who becomes the Driver of Pyra and Mythra after finding their core and nearly facing death. With their life forces combined, Rex promises to protect Pyra/Mythra at all costs as he guides them to Elysium. Optimistic, yet naive, Rex is a form of emotional support toward his friends, and hopes that guiding Pyra/Mythra on their quest will prevent people from harm or death. Having been raised by the Titan Azurda, whom he calls "Gramps," he often seeks advice and comfort from his caretaker, who currently travels in the compartment on the back of his clothes.

Rex appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as part of Pyra and Mythra's respective Final Smashes. His likeness is also the basis of a Costume for the Mii Swordfighter.
