A Chick Pokemon, Torchic is one of the available Starter Pokemon in the Hoenn region. Torchic keeps a flame deep within its belly that can be spit at heats of 1,800 degrees F, but also makes it feel warm when hugged. Torchic follows its trainer with unsteady footsteps and doesn't like darkness, as it can't see its surroundings. Torchic evolves into Combusken, then Blaziken.

Torchic appears from the Poke Ball in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and uses Fire Spin, burning nearby surrounding opponents with fire radiating from itself.
