Bio: Hydranoid - specifically and fully named Alpha Hydranoid - is a Bakugan of the Darkus Attribute. Originally the Bakugan companion of the antagonist Masquerade, he was given to Alice Gehabich upon the revelation that she and Masquerade were actually - somehow - the same person. Ever since, Hydranoid has been ever-loyal to Alice, to the point where he refused to leave her side even when the show said that he was supposed to.
    Hydranoid was first seen by Pikachu and Agumon when they first arrived in his world, battling under Alice’s command against Dan Kuso and Drago. He lost, and thus returned to her.
    He goes with Alice to search Earth for dragons with Julie Makimoto. When the Digidestined, Dan, Drago, Tag, Leonidas, and Naga go to Moscow after hearing of potential danger, they see Hydranoid carrying Alice and reunite with the two of them. He then leads them to Julie’s location.
    Despite being hindered by the darkness of night, an attempt to be fully introduced to the two Digidestined was made as they were on their way to Masquerade. Hydranoid then partakes in the battle against the five dragons at Michael Gehabich’s lab. Unlike the others, who went to fight Burn and Blaze, he flies over to the lab to fight the other three dragons.
    The first dragon he engages is the horned, light gray dragon. The dragon manages to escape him for a moment - after the horned, black dragon and hornless, light gray dragon it was working with make a hole in the building and head in - and attacks Agumon in his War-Greymon form. Hydranoid completely slips by the Digimon in order to be able to cleanly enter the building too, prioritizing Michael’s safety over helping Agumon. Despite this, Agumon believes he still saw the Bakugan shoot him an apologetic glance as he passed by.
    Within the building, Hydranoid manages to pin one of the dragons to the side of the building, which temporarily lights up the place by breathing fire. He pushes off of it to avoid the flames, but he is quite soon after pinned himself and even pushed out of the building, creating another hole. After a short while, he makes it back into the building.
    His three heads multitask and look at different places, mostly to ensure that enemies can’t sneak up on him and Alice. One of them focuses on Agumon as he brings Michael safely to him. However, another head quickly spots a dragon entering the building, and warns everyone.
    When he and the others there fail to stop the three dragons from activating and slipping into a portal made by the machine in the lab, he gets noticeably angry, to the point of two of his heads growling and the third head attempting to strike the machine. He’s only stopped when Alice urges him not to, claiming that that may end up hurting all of them, though he stops begrudgingly.
    Though he ultimately called off his attack, he still insists that they should promptly follow them to Vestroia immediately. He’s once again refused by Alice, who tells him that the others still need them. The Bakugan silently agrees and thus flies out of the building to assist everyone else. He seemed to hope the others had handled the other dragons, and was surprised to learn they hadn’t.
    Hydranoid was one of the Bakugan who helped surround Drago and Agumon to watch for the dragons as they talked. He was subsequently put back in a group with Agumon and Leonidas, but this time also with Naga. He expressed a desire to start blasting into the forest, to try to lure the dragons out. When the two dragons - Burn and Blaze - show themselves, he shoots a blast at Blaze and protects Agumon.
    He’s immediately critical and dismissive of Agumon’s plan to regroup with Drago’s group, but accepts it - seemingly begrudgingly - shortly after Alice agrees with it. He starts following the plan when Agumon is grabbed. He is the second one to fly off - even without an order from Alice - after Tag motivates the group to do what the Digimon wanted and go get Drago without him.
    Hydranoid returns with everyone else after Drago and Pikachu attack the dragons, going after Burn again with the rest of his previous group. He is also one of the Bakugan that reconvenes with Agumon when the latter bursts out of the forest with Blaze. The Darkus Bakugan suggests beating the dragon by dropping it from a large height, though the idea is turned down.
    When the battle is over, he and the other Bakugan fly back to the lab. When they land, and all of their companions get off their shoulders, they all return to ball form. Hydranoid is revealed to not have come with Alice when she went with the Digidestined to get them their own Bakugan. He reunited with her upon their return.
    Hydranoid woke up early the following morning just like Alice did. At the time at which Pikachu had gotten up, he was outside with Masquerade, training alongside the boy’s Bakugan and Naga, from within a Gate Card’s Field barrier. Alice fetches him and everyone else there shortly after Pikachu goes to wake everyone else up.
    After reaching Vestroia, and seeing the dragons, Hydranoid heads into battle. When Alice is blown off of Drago’s shoulder, but then saved by Spectra and Helios, Hydranoid goes up to them, and Alice is returned to his shoulder.
    During the battle in Bayview, when Pikachu proposes the possibility of Hydranoid being able to split his three heads into different bodies - after seeing Preyas and Marucho Marukura’s other Bakugan in smaller, Quality-of-Life Enhancing Forms - Hydranoid is quick to deny wanting to.
He’s eventually thrown out into the battle at Bayview by Tag, but not until after Billy, Joe, Cycloid, and Wavern join Marucho and his Bakugan. During the all out attack, he seemed to have used his regular purple blast attack. After the battle, he returned to his ball form.
