I probably didn't understand that much at all.
Only that there exist infinite realities that diverge from whether or not the man we know as Booker DeWitt took or refused the baptism. The acceptances created multiple realities of a Zachary Comstock and the refusals retained Booker DeWitt. In essence, Zachary Hale Comstock and Booker DeWitt are counterparts of the same man.
