Description
Imagine the following event....
You inherit a house in a small town and after months finally start to clear it out.
You are not yet sure whether you want to keep the house or sell it.
At some point you arrive in the cellar and clear out what you think you or the buyers no longer want.
You find a hole in the wall, it seems strange to you because it goes far into the ground.
You shine a torch on it, but you can't see the end. After a moment's thought, you decide
to go through the hole and follow the tunnel.
You walk and often have to crawl, until after a long time you feel a cool morning air hitting you
and slowly the end of the tunnel seems to brighten up.
Then you reach the end of the tunnel and see the scene in the picture above!
A valley opens up, with steep slopes and high mountains. You can see a small fortress a few
kilometres away. You see a pile of armour and weapons that seem to have been placed at the cave
entrance.
You hear birds chirping and the dripping of water in the cave. But there is a smell of blood and sulphur
in the air. Behind you is still the tunnel, even though you can't help but feel that it is getting smaller and smaller.
It seems you have to make a choice.
Back into the tunnel and back into the house, or move forward, which may mean you can never turn back.
Would you now step out of the cave or would you rather turn back?
My Answer:
I've asked myself questions like that many times and I have to say I'd walk out.
I would go into that world to see what awaits me there.
I don't know at this point if I'll come back, but I hope that if you find something like that,
somehow there will be a way back.
