Actually, I think there's a lot to be seen in this one: the sky looks great, wonderful colours, and i like the effect of "painting" it has. It's very interesting how the buildings are distorted, like it's a sickening vision... exactly the feel of the song! And they are very well blended with the surroundings, only that they have a different texture, I mean, the look like they're ... drawn. But this only adds to the awkward feeling of this picture.

If I hadn't seen what section it's in I could've sworn it's watercolour over ink... The sky gives a kinda watercolourish look and the building looks as if it had ink in it's edges (how an earth did you get that kind of effect in a photograph?)
Also love the color scheme and the distortion in the buildings.

Well this manipp includes quite much painting, most of the watercolourish effects are painted with low opacity above the manipulated buildings and textures.

What do you mean this isn't something special?! I have been staring at this since you submitted it not knowing what to say because it has something different and is begging to be talked about. Whispered about in a corner somewhere! I'm dramatic sometimes
It is a dying thing losing shape losing form descending into the abyss where we all go after while. Your work has this theme, which I always love, the going back, the leaving, the moon! I love the moon, sigh, and I dig this very much. That it is losing form and sinking with the moon above watching, rocks.

Kiinnostava työ. Pidän tavasta jolla vääntynyt rakennus jatkuu pyörteisiin pilviin. Värit luovat haalistuneen, jotenkin "vanhan" tunteen.

LOVE IT.. daliesque in the whole 'melting' theme, also seems too have that really haunting feel to it thats so prominant in dali surrealism (i dont know many other examples of surrealist artwork, having had no formal education in art (cept photography)).
Can I ask how it was crafted? Is it all free drawn? half digital? full digi? either way honey, that is a beautiful piece of art. well done!

Some parts of the picture are photomanipulated and then used either directly or as reference for digital painting.
Some parts are full painted in Photoshop and textures are from my own stock. I used for example a macro shot of an onion!

I don't know where my head was yesterday, the day was filled with all types of errors and mistakes.
I even threw away the meal I had just recently cooked and started eating yesterdays leftovers which were meant to be thrown away instead...

ha ha, I know what you mean, sometimes it happens to me too... I mean, doing things all the opposite they are meant to be done, like throwing away just made coffee, or washing again a t-shirt I just pulled off from the drying rope... maybe you're in love????
