This is in response to that poll I once had on what tutorials I should post. This one won. Anyway, here's how I do magic circles.
I've used alot of them over the years, and this is the easiest way for me to make them. 
Hope it's helpful.

Ahahaha I get what you mean. But for years now, alchemists have used these drawings to describe phenomena through symbols and patterns. Soon enough, popular media attributed such circles to magic and witchcraft. Ever since then, you would see things like these whenever magic is involved.

Why do you use this polar coordinates trick? Doesn't Photoshop have writing on a curve option?

Not really~ You can see anything and expect magic, it's up to the person.
Why not? There are many ways to do it~ Good luck curving each and every one of them then.
