Description
Non are my alien species in my comic uh lol

- All Non have pink spikes on their body, pink eyes, and pink "feelers". They may be in different shades of pink and even purple, but it must be those colors. Spike placements vary from Non to Non.
- Non usually have dull colored bodies. Dark blues, blacks, greens, and greys are common in the Non species, but there are some Non who are dull purples, yellows, reds, pink/purples and even (rarely) white.
- Non live a little bit longer than humans, the most being 120 years. They grow very rapidly during their juvenile years, but don't change much from adult to elderhood other than some color change. When Non are juvenile, they are more saturated, when a Non grows old, their colors dull out a little more.
- Non are very territorial and will give most species only 1 warning if they are trespassing on Non territory.
- Non can have many eyes, most have 2 or 4, but some can have 1 or 8. The placement also varies, but not that much.
- Each Non has a special feeler pattern, some have tiny strands of feelers, others have full ribbon-like feelers.
- All Non have mandibles.
- The pink spots on a Non body are called venom spots.
- Non have venom that can be seen through the venom spots on their body, but all Non have venom stored in their spikes, mouths, feelers, and claws. Some might only have venom in one pair of claws. Niel only has venom stored in the claws on his back legs. The more saturated the venom spots the more venomous the Non is.
- Most Non have flat snouts, but some can have a longer rodent/canine like snouts.
- Non ears also vary from Non to Non. Some are round and others can be feathery or pointy. Length also varies as well, some Non have ears that you can't even see (kind of like bird ears)
- All Non have head feathers that they style themselves.
- Some Non's venom spots are phosphorescent, this is a genetic defect that is uncommon, but a real thing in the Non race. This defect can be the Non's advantage or the Non's weakness. The venom spots glow when the Non is agitated or startled.
- Non don't normally wear clothes as their reproductive genitalia are normally hidden. But most Non do to wear their own clothes due to fasion reasons.
- Non despise all species besides themselves (or, they're usually supposed to), though some rebel against the system, most who do rebel are arrested.
- When attacking they can keep standing upright or go on all fours, attacking ferally.
- Non are carnivorous, but in dire situations, they will turn omnivorous.
- Non tails differ from Non to Non, some can have sharp spikes, soft feathers, or smooth skin like spots.
- Non have fur-like feathers that feel very velvety.
- Non don't normally own pets, but PETS do exist. Non PETS are plant-like creatures that don't require that much care and don't move much, but do provide lonely Non with a sense of companionship.
- The Non originally came to earth due to a distress signal from one of the EGGs (a Non escape pod). They found out that the Egg that was making the distress call came from a WORM (a Non fighter ship) that had been stolen by an escaped convict (Niel) a couple of years prior. But once they saw that Earth was a small planet teeming with life that they viewed "lower than them", they saw this as an opportunity for another food source and place to celebrate "Hunt".
- Niel may be a Non, but he has a burning hatred for his cruel race due to how his race treats other species and also lower ranking Non.
- Non can run up to very high speeds but have a limited amount of time until they get exhausted (kind of like a cheetah).
- Non are a tad bit religious, their religion being "Non are destined to rule the universe once the 'promised one' kills their sibling (the sibling being the Non equivalent of the Antichrist)". Niel, of course, believes none of it.
- There is a Non called Oraeca (pronounced or-ay-ca) who is the Oracle of Non. Non go to her to get religious knowledge and life advice for a small fee.
- Non have holidays called "Thrive Day", "Promised Hours" and "Hunt". As well as small holidays like Non birthdays. Thrive day is a celebration of the Non surviving and thriving after the destruction of their origin planet, the contents of which have been long since forgotten except for the parts told in fairy tales. On Thrive Day, Oraeca tells Non juveniles the stories about the origin planet that has been dubbed "Corpse of the Moth", and all the Non celebrate by feasting and being with their families. Promised Hours is the Promised one's birthday, in which all Non celebrate by giving thanks to the Promised one via giving gifts, eating, and the Promised one (aka the captain of the ship) gives a speech. Hunt is a rather loved holiday by all Non. Hunt is where a destination is chosen and all Non in a certain age range goes down to the planet and Hunts down and, usually, eats live prey. Every animal killed is a point to the specific Non that killed it. Hunt takes place every 100 years, and the holiday can last about 1 year until the planet is void of life other than Non, or the year ends. During that year, the Non participating are forced to find shelter on the selected planet until the Hunt is over. The 3 Non with the most points are rewarded greatly with a very large amount of Non currency, and a semi-royal position in Non society. This is yet another reason Neil hates his own race. Unluckily enough for Neil and the entire human race, Hunt is a year away from when the Non invaded.
- Though it is not illegal, a Non who is partnered romantically with a Non who is of the same gender as themselves is shunned by a large portion of Non society, including a large part of the high ranking Non society.
- All soldier Non have a cloaking device that can make them look and feel like another species, but in order to do that, they have to scan the species from a close enough range. And if the device gets damaged, it can affect the amount of accuracy the disguise has. Niel's device was damaged during his crash landing on earth, which made his right eyes exposed (thats why he covers it up with his hair).
- Non have a bad reputation due to the number of times they try (and sometimes succeed), to wipe out all life on some planets. That is why most places do not allow Non in (like interdimensional malls, restaurants, planets, ect). The Non do not care since they're only allowed to live on the Parentvessel anyways.
