  You let out a sigh as you laid on the couch at about 10:00pm, your phone in one hand, a soda in the other, and a horrible romcom on the tv screen. Your eyes were half-lidded as you stared at the tv in boredom. How the hell did Karkat enjoy these?

  A knock at your door caused a groan to escape your lips. You pulled yourself up to a sitting position, then sat the phone and soda down on the coffee table. Dragging your legs over to the door, you opened it to reveal “Mr.Shouty” in the flesh.

“THANK GOG YOU ANSWERED THE DOOR.” Karkat told you as he let himself into the house. You sighed and closed the door behind him, watching him as he sat down on the couch and took a drink of the soda. Nope, not like you were going to drink that.

  How did you end up knowing Karkat? Hell, how did he become your boyfriend? No, sorry, let me say that in a way he can understand. How did he become your matesprit?

  No, but seriously, how did you put up with him? He was a 100-pound little bringer of rage and terror. You could hear him coming from a mile away with his booming voice and stomping feet. The others tremble in fear as he rants about random shit you could care less about.

  Karkat patted the couch, wanting you to sit down beside him. You complied with his wishes and sat a few inches away from him, your hands in your lap and not looking in his direction.

“SO UH, LISTEN, I NEED TO TALK TO YOU FOR A MINUTE.” He said to you. Well, it was more like yelled to you, but I digress. You looked over at him with a confused expression.

“What’s up?” You asked, tilting your head slightly.

  Karkat stopped his thinking process as you did so. The way your hair framed your face, and your bright (e/c) eyes stared at him in confused and…was that fear? Fear of what exactly?

“WE’VE BEEN MATESPRITS FOR A SWEEP NOW, AND I WAS JUST THINKING THAT MAYBE WE SHOULD...UH...SHIT…” He scratched the back of his neck, his cheeks now beginning to turn a cherry red color.

  Was he wanting to do what you thought? Did he want to show affection towards you now? Your dreams were finally coming true!

  Your heart pumped loudly in your chest and in your ears, but you kept a straight face nonetheless. Your face was probably burning red, you could feel the heat spreading through your cheeks as each second passed.

“O-Oh, alright,” You decided to roll with it and agree with whatever the hell he wanted to do. It couldn’t be that bad, right?

  Karkat seemed to almost gasp, but recovered quickly and nodded. Glancing at the romcom, then at you, he wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you to his chest. For such a mad troll, he was surprisingly gentle. It shocked you.

  Karkat pulled you into his lap, and you rested your head on his shoulder, breathing in slowly. This was a step ahead, was it not? This is what you wanted, right? So why was this so awkward?

  Despite Karkat being the shortest troll, he was still a few inches taller than you, so you seemed to fit in his lap perfectly, as if you were made for the job. You moved your head so that you buried your head in the crook of his neck, breathing his scent in and smiling softly to yourself.

  Karkat seemed to flinch at this showing of affection, but blew it off and almost hugged you softly. His blood pumper was pounding, and he felt as if it would burst out of his chest and run away. Right now, all he wanted to do was focus on the angel that was you.

  Placing his hand on your cheek, you looked up at him. He bit his lip. Could he really go through with this? Was he brave enough? The thoughts circled around in his think pan and refused to leave him alone. It was now or never.

  Bringing his head down towards you, his lips touched yours. Sparks flew through your body, and your face went pure red. No, you didn’t pull away. You didn’t want to hurt him. Plus, you really were liking this. You were shocked, but liking it.

  You kissed back, wrapping your arms around his neck. Breaking the kiss, you moved so you were straddling his waist, your hands now just holding onto his shoulder. He stared at you, wondering what you were doing.

  You leaned back down and connected in another kiss, this one more sure than the first one. Again, sparks flew.

  Karkat closed his eyes and moved his lips in sync with yours. Time seemed to stay still as he licked your bottom lip for entrance. You complied, and his gray tongue slipped into your mouth.

  You were both really new at this, and you both knew that. But shit, you two were trying so hard! It’s a team effort after all!

  Your tongues moved together, intertwining in a lustful fury.

  Eventually, you broke it off again. You both were slightly panting. Karkat reached forward and clicked the tv remote to turn it off. He gave you a lustful look, to which you returned it.

“You thinking what I am?” You asked softly. He nodded and licked his lips.

“CUDDLE TIME?” He answered with a question.

“Hell yes.” And to that, he picked you up bridal style and you two went to your bedroom for cuddle time.
