i agree that bryce wrok using tori+mirror+light+sphere technique is flooding deviantart, everyone are submittiong almost same work as all other who are following this tutorial
but you have your own invention, you're improving this simple style by new elements, and such
anyway your style is original, show me who is making so much different bryce works like you ?
i know few ppl, but they aren't submittiong so much like you.
yes, i can say they have own style.
but you ? you have fully using your own brain, not someone else, you're not copying someone styles but you try to make different and original.
and i saw that soemeone said using stock photos or brushes is bad.
if you're using them, you're making art with someone help, this really helps to improve yourself, but do not stop just in this corner, with completed brushes and photos, try to make your own
i see in this work you'd used your own stock, isn't feeling better?
you'd created your OWN work, you do not need someone help, you can do your own!
and 2d,
2d will stay same forever, always will be similar to other's work.
lines, text and squares
so try to look around and catch an inspiration from other's 2d work
of course DO NOT copy them, just look how they do their 2d, and try to do similar, after few tries, do your own set of 2d and such
i see that you'd used in this piece few brushes and some of your own lines
try to lower the opacity and do MORE
yeah, more of this 2d stuff,
add more 2d details, and small text using 1-3px size
and that's all, i'll keep and eye on you and tell you what and where to improve yourself
