It took him a while, but Yasu finally made it to the Great Tree. The storm thankfully started to settle as gradually as it started. He did not feel like running around the tree whilst it was being shaken. Yasu started to use the Folk's natural sense of smell to figure out where his parents where, if they were still in Great Tree that was. Surprisingly there was still a faint scent in a area that was much quieter than normal. Yasu started to follow, expecting to find them in a vacant home.
The scent took Yasu An further away from the general hub and The Den. He was becoming confused. Why would Yasu's Dad and Pop need to go so far from the crowds? As the scent became stronger, more unanswerable questions filled Yasu's mind. Eventually, it started to smell like blood. This is worrying. "Did they get hurt?! I really have to find them now!" Yasu eventually found himself at an alley way, a cranny in the Elder Tree. Upon turning the corner, Yasu An caught a grizzly sight.
A Heart Flower sat at the end, fallen over but somehow alive. Shattered bits of a deep purple phylactery and blood scatter on the ground before it. And an orange bloodied sash lay before the kit on the ground.Ā Yasu was terrified, surely this couldn't be his parents. It's been five months, they should've been ready to leave by now!! Maybe these belong to a different pair. Yet the scent was undeniable, these were indeed Yasu's Sols. They never made it out of the colony. They never had the chance to begin their wonderful crusade.
Yasu. Broke. Down. He couldn't believe it, they're dead. They were just with him months ago, saying their goodbyes. How? Why? Who did this? "Why did it have to be you; of all the Folk in the colony it had to be my own parents?!" As Yasu grieved for his parents, something began to creep in. Through the night's silence and Yasu's crocodile tears, something ancient and primordial called out to him, "My poor child, I am so sorry for what Fate brought upon you." "Who is this?!" " You have no need to worry. You and I will meet someday soon little one. For now, Child, you must run. Run and do not dare look behind you! Run! RUN AWAY!!! NOW!!!"
The voice echoed through Yasu's being like how any normal echo through a canyon, especially the shouting. And at that moment Yasu caught scent of something else; He was not alone. Yasu immediately turned around to find a towering, seemingly cloaked, figure standing behind him. "Is that a sword?!" Yasu didn't need a word to figure it out as the figure attempted to stab him. Yasu is narrowly able to dodge the blow and escape the cranny. He'll have to take care of his parents later. "HOLY RAVIOLLI!!!!!" Yasu shrieked as he fled for his life. His only choice now, was to run through the Great Tree and back to Willow Valley.

I started this before Yasu got his crest, but it'll start to grow in now that he's back outside
